Sound circle sessions

Sound Circle - Grassroots Yoga - St Kilda

Sound Circle sessions at the beautiful Grassroots Yoga Studio in St Kilda are held monthly and are designed to gently calm the nervous system and deeply nurture participants through sound. Each session weaves together the resonant tones of sacred and modern instruments including crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, monolina, glassophone, chimes, drums, gong, and other subtle percussion.

The studio is softly lit with ambient lighting, creating a sense of ease and calm from the moment you arrive. The one-hour sound journey invites deep rest and recalibration, leaving you feeling grounded, relaxed, and rebalanced.

Collaboration Yin Yogassage & Sound Healing

This beautifully curated Yin Yogassage & Sound Healing collaboration with Zoë and Lucy offers a deeply restorative, two-part experience designed to gently soothe the nervous system and invite the body back into balance. The journey begins with a nourishing one-hour yin yoga and massage practice guided by Zoë, where supported postures are complemented by mindful meridian-line massage and conscious breath, allowing the body to soften, release stored tension, and gradually downshift into a state of rest and ease.

The experience then flows seamlessly into a deeply calming sound journey with Lucy, where waves of sound and vibration from crystal and Tibetan bowls, gongs, and other resonant instruments guide you into stillness. These healing frequencies quiet the mind, support emotional release, and restore energetic harmony, leaving you feeling grounded, nourished, and gently rebalanced.

We close the experience by grounding back into the body with tea, nourishing treats, and relaxed conversation in community, allowing time for integration and connection before returning to the rhythm of daily life.

These sessions have been run at Hum Yoga & Pilates studio in Dromana, but will be unfolding at other beautiful venues across the Mornington Peninsula…..

Kids Holiday Wellness Program

Lucy has offered beautifully curated school holiday wellness programs designed to support children’s wellbeing through nature, creativity, and sound. These immersive experiences invited children to slow down, explore, and reconnect — with themselves, the natural world, and their innate creativity.

Held in the tranquil surrounds of The Cambium in Red Hill, the three-hour programs took place in a stunning natural setting surrounded by native flora and wildlife. Children explored the outdoors on guided nature walks, gathered natural treasures, and created meaningful nature-inspired art. Each session concluded with a gentle and calming sound healing experience, offering children a sense of stillness, grounding, and relaxation.

Every element of the program was thoughtfully designed to nurture young nervous systems, encourage creative expression, and support emotional balance in a safe and supportive environment.

The program included:

  • Nature Walks – Exploring and connecting with the natural environment

  • Nature Art – Creative expression using found natural materials

  • Sound Healing – Calming sounds and vibrations to support relaxation and balance

These holiday wellness programs provided children with an opportunity to recharge, reconnect, and most importantly, have fun — leaving them feeling relaxed, inspired, and deeply connected to nature and themselves.

Sound Circle - Kids (Aged 7-12)

Over two years, I had the privilege of running a Sound Circle After School Program at Elwood Primary School, creating a calm, nurturing space for children to unwind, reset, and reconnect with themselves after a busy school day. In a world where children are increasingly over-scheduled, over-stimulated, and under pressure, I consistently witnessed how powerful it was to offer them simple, embodied tools to regulate their nervous systems and manage stress.

Through a gentle blend of pranayama (breathwork), mindfulness, guided visualisations, and a 25–30 minute sound bath, children learned how to self-soothe, focus their attention, and tune into their inner world. Over time, I saw noticeable improvements in emotional regulation, concentration, confidence, and social connection — aligning with research showing that mindfulness and sound therapy can support anxiety reduction, self-awareness, positive behaviour, and overall wellbeing.

The feedback from the children themselves spoke volumes. After a sound bath, students shared reflections such as:

  • I feel invincible,”

  • “I feel so relaxed,”

  • “I feel like I can do anything,”

  • and “I had a headache when I came in and now it is completely gone.”

These moments reinforced just how deeply sound and stillness can support children to thrive — physically, emotionally, socially, and academically — when given the right tools and space.
